History-Autism Children Foundation(ACF)
Autism Children Foundation (ACF) s a non-profit making organization founded in 2005 by a group of parents and professionals who are determined and passionate to help autistic children in Hong Kong.

Formerly called the Autism Parents Network Foundation, the Foundation was renamed Autism Children Foundation in 2008. It seeks to empower parents and families with the knowledge and training in tackling and managing a complex and debilitating child developmental disorder.

Since 2005, the Foundation has vigorously sought out information and treatment options worldwide to bring to Hong Kong.  Consulting with leading education service providers, experts at the Harvard Medical School and other top research institutes and universities in the US, ACF organizes seminars and conferences for parents, teachers, related professionals and therapists in Hong Kong in both English and Chinese.

ACF is cooperating with the Autism Society of America, the largest and oldest parents support group in the US, that provides comprehensive grass root support and services to the families and the autism community. ACF is committed to channel such know how or appropriate service models to Asia for the families and the autism community.

ACF organized its first Asian conferences in 2006 and then the second one in 2007 that attracted over 1,000 participants from the region, with notable interest from rehabilitation bodies in the Mainland. Participants include parents and other related professionals therapists, clinical psychologists, academics & special school teachers. This attendance is testament to the demand for updated strategies in Autism treatment.
